Inspiring Workspace in Beijing
Danish Cultural Center in 798 Art District in Beijing offers workspace for Danish companies, artists and organisations, that wish to be placed in the Chinese capital during a shorter or a longer period.
The Cultural Center is situated in the dynamic and popular art district “798”, that has Beijing’s main concentration of contemporary art galleries. A “Soho-esque” area in an abandoned factory district with raw industrial buildings like the Meatpacking District in Copenhagen, but considerably larger and much more internationally oriented. 798 Art District is considered Beijing’s third most popular place to visit with around 8 mill. visitors a year.
Danish Cultural Center is Denmark’s official cultural platform in China and opened in November 2015 in 798. Through its first full cycle of a year the center has provided an international program of exhibitions, live performances, seminars and meetings, which has given around 200.000 Chinese visitors the possibility of becoming acquainted with different aspects of Danish culture and life.
Programs, seminars and co-creating activities focus on dialogue and provide new aspects on key issues seen through both Danish and Chinese lenses.
The Cultural Center offers a fully equipped office at 20 m2 for rent with access to the facilities of the Center, which covers kitchen, terrace, toilet etc. According to agreement it will possible to use the 120 m2 conference plateau in the Center, which can contain a conference table for 20 persons or a cinema set up with chairs for 60 persons.
